Biotechnology has been hailed as the wonder industry of the 21st Century, but are we capable of controlling it?

It is very interesting question. According to scientific studies on DNA and RNA human lifespan is at the present 120 years. But every individual has her or his "Biological clock"ticking their coded lifespan. We can controlit in some degree with our food choices and lifestyle we leed. Biotechnology should help us to overcome obstacles in life we can`t overcome alone, but not have total control over our lifes and lives of all living creatures on Earth (flora and fauna).

This is not my expert field. However, in discussions with experts, I once asked the question 'what about superweeds'. The reply was that it was not possible to genetically modify for more that one or two weedkillers and most plants were susectible to many. Is it safe to generalise and say that we shall retain control to kill GM crops through some weedkiller or other? If so than I would suggest tentatively that we do retain 'control' and that the real decider is whether society has the will to do so.
